Calthy ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how
we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Account data: email address or phone number used for authentication.
- Health & body data: age, height, weight, gender, and activity level you provide
during onboarding.
- Food & activity logs: meals, calorie intake, steps, and water consumption you log
in the app.
- Voice input: audio recordings submitted for food logging (processed in real-time,
not stored permanently).
- Photos: images you upload for body transformation progress (stored securely on our
servers).
- Device information: device type, OS version, and app version for technical support.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide personalized nutrition recommendations and daily goals.
- To analyze your food intake using AI and provide feedback.
- To track your progress over time (weight history, calorie trends).
- To send important notifications about your account and subscription.
- To improve the accuracy and quality of the app.
3. AI Processing
Calthy uses third-party AI models (via OpenRouter) to analyze food descriptions and voice inputs. Your
text and audio data are transmitted securely to process your requests. We do not use your personal data
to train external AI models.
Product scanner. When you scan a food label, menu or product, the photo is sent to the
AI model only to read it and is not stored on our servers. Only the values you choose to add (product
name, grams and nutrition per 100 g) are saved to your diary or to "My products".
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:
- Your coach, only if you join their team: when you join a coach's team with their
invite code and explicitly agree, the coach can see your food diary (meals, calories, macros, water
and steps), your name, your current and goal weight and how your weight changed since you joined,
and can leave comments and a day rating that you see in your diary. The coach does not see your
email or payment details. You can leave the team at any
time in "Team and invites", and the coach immediately loses access. Comments can be deleted by their
author and reported; reported comments are reviewed by our team within 24 hours.
- Referrals: if you sign up with someone's invite code, we record who invited you
and the amounts of your subscription payments, and credit them points once, based on your first payment. They
see only the number of people who joined and pay and their points, not who you are. If you invite
others and exchange points for money on calthy-app.com/points, we store the contact you give us
(for example, a Telegram handle or a phone number) and use it only to arrange the transfer.
- Service providers: cloud hosting, AI processing, analytics — under strict
confidentiality agreements.
- Payment processors: RevenueCat and Google Play/App Store handle subscription
billing. We do not store payment card information.
- Advertising analytics: if you installed Calthy after seeing an ad, we send Meta
Platforms, Inc. the fact of the installation and key in-app events (completing setup, starting a
subscription), along with device advertising identifiers, so we can measure which campaigns work.
Your health data — meals, body metrics, photos, audio and glucose readings — is never sent to Meta.
- Legal requirements: if required by law or to protect our rights.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all
associated data at any time by contacting us.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption and secure database storage to
protect your data.
7. Children's Privacy
Calthy is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information
from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact
us immediately.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion of your data.
- Opt out of certain data processing activities.
- Data portability.
